If you have ever worried about losing your pet there may be an answer to all your fears! After noticing that his cat had been gaining weight, enterprising Dave Evans decided to create an app which would track the movements of his cat. By attaching a GPS tracking device to his cat’s collar, Mr Evans was able to see exactly where his cat was visiting during both day and night. Named ‘G-Paws’ the app promises to bring peace of mind to worried cat owners all over the world. Mr Evans explains:
“We noticed Yollo was getting fat, although we weren’t feeding him any more than usual. We were suspicious that he was being fed at someone else’s house, so came up with the idea. Now I know he travels a couple of miles each day, exactly where he goes every night and who’s feeding him.”
Such an ingenious idea has brought some unexpected results as Mr Evans has found out that his cat has a penchant for chasing chickens at 6am every morning! There are plans ahead to build a new social media site specifically for cat owners who want to talk about the movements of their pets.
The rise of technology is enabling pet owners to keep an eye on their animals even better than ever before. From being able to order food for pets online to checking out possible medical systems before visiting the vet, there is no doubt that pet owners have lots of information to take in.
